Consultancy

The Dangerous Dads Network offers a specialist consultancy service, advising clients on how best to develop more ‘father friendly’ services.

We work with a wide range of Children’s Centres, local authorities, statutory and voluntary organisations across the UK. Our focus is how early years and community settings can reach dads from all walks of life and all backgrounds, but we have a particular interest in reaching families facing disadvantage.

Our team works with each client individually, discussing needs and expectations, so we tailor our approach to suit you.

We are experienced in:

  • Carrying out public consultation
  • Researching the needs of families and fathers
  • Evaluating current service provision and recommending improvements
  • Designing and running staff training / CPD sessions
  • Benchmarking your services with other similar organisations and supplying case studies of good practice
  • Developing marketing and communication tools to reach fathers and families
  • Delivering 'father-focused' sessions that appeal to dads and children

Testimonials

"Thanks very much for the Final Report. It’s really comprehensive and clear. I’m in the process of sending it around to the teams to help us with an Action Plan.”

- Children's Centre Manager, 2015

”Thank you for leading the meeting yesterday and helping us to think about the salient points creatively and inclusively… it has given us something tangible and meaningful to take forward. This will definitely form a big part of our action plan.”

- Children's Centre Manager, 2016

"Working alongside you enabled us to undertake a detailed piece of work, and have an outsider’s perspective. Your experience, commitment and knowledge of this area was evident.

Thank you for being flexible in your offer to us, coming out to the centres at times that were suitable for parents/staff and using a range of methods to try and ensure that we got the voice of fathers. Your comprehensive report, clearly set out, has provided a solid base to take this piece of work forward.”
